What is an MMA cage?

An MMA cage is a mesh cage, placed directly on the ground or raised on a podium, in which the fights take place. Generally octagonal in shape, we sometimes find certain hexagonal or circular models. The cage is made up of several panels with steel grilles as well as one or two entrance doors. The metal parts of the structure are padded with foam protections, and the corners are protected by corner pads. MMA cages are used for both training and competition.

The different types of MMA cages

There are different types of MMA cages, to choose according to your specific needs. We offer floor-mounted MMA cages, which sit directly on the tatami surface, as well as podium cages, with a wooden floor and a foam mat. You can also opt for a modular half cage, which attaches to one or more walls and adapts to the configuration of the premises. This solution is ideal if you don't have a lot of space in your gym. Regarding size, MMA cages come in several sizes. However, it is important to note that if you wish to use your cage for competition, it must be of standard UFC dimensions.

The advantages of MMA cages
MMA stands out from other combat sports by using a cage instead of a traditional boxing ring. There are several reasons for this choice.
