Some sports are more demanding than others, and their practice requires the use of suitable protective equipment. This is particularly the case for all combat sports. The most common protective equipment is that which concerns the protection of the head and hands (helmet and gloves), but some combat sports also involve kicking. If this is the case for the sport you practice, then you must protect your feet with appropriate protection. Find a wide range of foot protectors on Le Coin du Ring and thus effectively protect your feet from the shocks they could suffer.

For which combat sports is it necessary to wear safety kicks ?

The feet are used in many combat sports. This is particularly the case for Full contact, kick-boxing, taekwondo, but also muay-thai or MMA. These disciplines require the use of the feet to deliver blows, and the blows delivered with the feet can be very powerful. They are often more so than those worn with the hands. The foot guards used must therefore be sufficiently resistant to guarantee maximum protection to the fighter throughout his fight and allow the feet to absorb the shocks received.

If you practice one of the sports mentioned above without wearing foot guards, you risk injuring yourself. The main injuries you risk are bruises and minor lesions, but the most violent blows can twist your ankle or break a bone in your foot. To avoid injuries as much as possible, even the most minor ones, we cannot advise you enough to wear foot guards. We also invite you to exercise caution when you kick. It is essential to know how to control your strength to adjust the power of your blows, but also to know the limits of your body so as not to exceed them.

How to choose your safety kicks ?

The safety kicks we offer will not prevent you from getting injured if you kick too hard, but they will still greatly minimize your risk of injury. Your foot guards will absorb the vast majority of the kicks you land. This will allow you to practice your combat sport in the best conditions.

As with all the protective equipment you use, you must take several criteria into account to choose your foot guards.

The first aspect you must pay attention to is of course the level of protection that your foot guards will provide you. Resistance to shocks and wear is the main quality expected for a foot guard. The models you will find on our site are made of polyurethane. This material is known for its density and its great capacity to absorb shocks.

Our foot guards are therefore equipped with a thick polyurethane foam to perfectly absorb shocks, but they remain sufficiently light and flexible so that you can maintain maximum flexibility when landing kicks.

Also make sure that your foot protectors are adapted to your morphology. They will not be effective if they are not well adjusted. The models that we offer are therefore available in several sizes to adapt perfectly to your needs.

To choose the size of your full contact foot protector, here is a size guide:

You are wearing:

31 - 32 = XXXS
33 - 34 = XXS
35 - 36 = XS
37 -38 = S
